TV does not respond to remote control
Some buttons on the remote get a response but keys such as power, volume, channel etc. do not respond. The red light on the TV indicate that it’s getting the signal and the remote has new batteries.
First, take out the batteries for at least 15 minutes, then replace them ensuring that they are installed properly. After the remote is reset, make sure to push the "TV" button on the remote. If this doesn’t correct the remote, it is either damaged and should be replaced. As a side note, if it is not the factory remote, then the remote is simply not programmed to the correct code for your particular model TV, and you should try other codes until you find one that fully sets all of the controls for your TV.
